Persian life-sized deer sculpture in 24-karat gold-inlaid metal, created by Iranian artist Jahangir Ayati in Isfahan. The deer is charging on top of a rocky base, which has elaborate gold inlay as well. Artist's signature in Farsi on the back of the head. Made in Iran during the mid-20th century, the piece is in remarkable vintage condition.
